Several Safe Retire Watch features are powered by artificial intelligence, including the AI Scam Checker, Suspicious Link Checker, Phone Number Reputation Checker, Scam Email Explainer, Retirement Safety Quiz, and any in-app help assistant. This page explains how they work and where their limits are.

You are interacting with automated software

AI features generate responses automatically using large language models. You are not chatting with a human investigator, lawyer, banker, or government official. No human reviews each response before you see it.

AI output can be wrong

AI models can misclassify a message, miss a genuine scam, or flag a legitimate message as suspicious. Treat every result as a second opinion, not a verdict. Never send money, share codes, or ignore a warning solely because of an AI result. When in doubt, contact the company or agency directly using a phone number you look up yourself.

What we do with what you submit

Text, links, phone numbers, or emails you paste are sent to our servers and to our AI model provider solely to generate your result.
We log limited technical metadata (timestamp, tool used, coarse IP-derived rate-limit data) to prevent abuse, and we may receive an internal notification that a tool was used.
We do not use your submissions to train third-party foundation models, and we do not sell them.
Do not paste sensitive data — Social Security numbers, full account or card numbers, passwords, one-time codes, or medical records. Redact them first.

Fair use of AI features
