Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 2, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Safe Retire Watch uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, pixels, and device identifiers) on saferetirewatch.com, and the choices you have. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences — for example, keeping you signed in — and help owners understand how the site is used.
Categories of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary. Required to run the service: session and authentication cookies, security and anti-abuse protections, load balancing, rate limiting on our free AI tools, and checkout/billing sessions handled by Stripe. These cannot be switched off, and we do not need consent for them.
- Preferences. Remember your cookie choices and interface settings. Stored in your browser's local storage under
srw_cookie_consent. - Analytics. Aggregated, non-identifying measurement of which pages, guides and free tools are used, so we can improve them. Only set after you consent.
- Marketing. Used to measure advertising or referral campaigns. Only set after you consent. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Third parties that may set cookies
- Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention during checkout and subscription management (strictly necessary for purchases).
- Supabase (Lovable Cloud) — authentication session storage for signed-in members.
- Analytics provider — only when analytics consent is granted.
How long cookies last
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Authentication and preference cookies typically persist up to 12 months. Your cookie consent record is kept for 12 months, after which we ask again.
Managing and withdrawing consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time — it is as easy to refuse as to accept. Use the button below, or the "Cookie preferences" link in our footer.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent sign-in, checkout, and other core features from working.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals from your browser as a valid opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA and comparable state laws.
Changes
We may update this policy as our technology or the law changes. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date.
